Sean Brosnan's long-running Future Disco series has always been a good barometer of the nu-disco scene at any given point in time. This sixth volume continues the trend, offering up a selection that reflects the current fixation with disco, nu-disco and electrofunk-influenced house. So, we get Crazy P's Futureboogie-influcned "Heartbreaker", a Maceo Plex remake of Laura Jones, the Garden Festival-inspired late night slippiness of Greymatter's "Tisno", and even a dash of Hypercolour-era Groove Armada. Best of all, though, is the most obviously disco-centric track of all: Bonar Bradberry's Tiger and Woods-inspired Change cut-up, "Loose Grip".
